How do you tame a beast
whose stomach sings a sour scowl?
Its reptilian stare roam,
darting from my head to my toes.
It licks lush lips,
whispers spells to my ears,
melts my soul and
freezes my bones.
It goes in for the kill.
Hands on my cheeks,
its lips trapping
mine.
Poison slithers down my throat,
a beast’s aphrodisiac.
One last bite, I am
gone.
